I’ve been thinking about my blog and the direction I want it go. I’ve read alot of cruising blogs and to be honest, it seems like most are ship reviews or personal stories about a specific cruise.
I have to admit it would be very difficult to write a blog and not mention a personal experience….what I really want to do is paint a picture for my readers that have never been on a cruise…..so they will book one.
I want people to feel what I write, I want to make them feel like they are on a ship….like a song, music is meant to make a connection with the listener, different people can sing the exact same song…but one singer may have the ability to make you feel it more than the others.
Take Serenity (adults only) deck for example…I want you to feel like your there at midnight with your significant other in a hammock gently swaying back and forth, under the stars as a light ocean breeze sweeps through your hair…the faint hum of the ship engine and the moon light dancing on the water as you make your way to a tropical paradise. I want you to feel like your the Captain of your destiny and the magical mysteries of the deep connect with your innermost being on the perfect night at sea as you drift off to sleep in each other’s arms.
I want to make you see the sunsets, smell the food, taste the drinks…and hear the steel drums.
I want you to touch the photo of you and her, I want you to feel like your looking at it, I want to make you feel like your reading the Fun Times or a menu in the Main Dining Room, I want to put you inside the glass elevators in the atrium as you look down from the top on the people sitting at the bar having a drink.
I don’t want my blogs to be all about me or a ship, I want to draw from my experiences and make you the reader the centerpiece…I want to take you there when you can’t be there. I want you to book a cruise so you can see for yourself how wonderful and care free it really is.
Thanks for reading, until next time….Blue Skies and Happy Sailing!
